Nach dem Ausflug in den Süden haben wir nun drei ganz tolle Tage im Norden verbracht!
: ) Nicht ganz chronologisch fange ich einfach mal mit dem Highlight an – Siku! Siku und der ganze Skandinavisk Dyrepark.
Natürlich wäre es unfair, den Naturpark mit den Gegebenheiten in einem Zoo zu vergleichen – welcher Zoo hat schon Platz für ein Eisbärengehege, das 26000 Quadratmeter groß ist… Trotzdem, es ist schon was ganz ganz anderes. Es sind ganz besondere Erlebnisse, auf den Holzbrücken quasi ohne Gitter durch das Gehege zu laufen…
Dadurch, dass der Tierpark nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen ist und abseits der Städte liegt, kommen natürlich auch keine Besucher nur zufällig vorbei, sondern nur welche, die wirklich bewusst dorthin fahren. Trotzdem waren wir überrascht, wie wenig Besucher da waren – von 10 Uhr bis ca. 12.30 Uhr hatten wir Klein-Siku ganz für uns alleine! ; ) Abgesehen von einer der netten Mitarbeiterinnen, die immer am Gehege stehen um ein wenig auf Siku aufzupassen und Fragen zu beantworten.
Der kleine Bär ist das reinste Energiebündel, er spielt und spielt ohne Unterlass. Bei ihm hatte ich ausnahmsweise mal nicht den Eindruck, dass er ein Plastikspielzeug braucht ; ) – jeder Baumstamm, jede Baumwurzel, jeder Ast wurde voller Begeisterung bekaut, herumgeworfen, durch die Gegend gerollt.
Es ist unglaublich, wie nah man an dem Kleinen ist – wenn man sich hinhockt und er sich aufrichtet, sind es vielleicht 50 cm Abstand – eine tolle Erfahrung!
Natürlich haben wir irre viele Bilder gemacht, darum werden es wieder mehrere Alben, bei denen auch die anderen Bären und die übrigen Tiere nicht zu kurz kommen.. Hier kommt das erste Album!

Siku, the little energy bear! : )))
After our trip to the south we now had three fab days in the north! : ) Not quite chronological I want to start with the highlight – Siku! Siku and the whole Skandinavisk Dyrepark.
Of course it would be unfair to compare the nature park with the conditions in a zoo – which zoo has the space for a polar bear enclosure which is 26000 square meters huge… Still, it is something completely different. It is a very special experience to walk on the wooden bridges somehow through the enclosure, without fences…
Because the nature park can only be reached by car and becuase it is away from the cities, no visitors come there just by chance, but only is they really intend to go there. Still we were surprised how few visitors were there – from 10 AM to about 12.30 we had little Siku all for ourselves! ; ) Apart from one of the nice employees who always stand at the enclosure to watch a bit over Siku and to answer questions.
The bear is a pure bundle of energy, he plays and plays without pause. As an exception here I did not have the feeling he misses any plastic toys ; ) – every tree trunk, every tree root, every branch was gnawed on, rolled around and thrown around enthusiastically.
It is incredible, how close you are to the little one – if you sit down and he rises, it is probably less than two feet – a great experience!
Of course we made lots and lots of pics, so there will be a few albums which also include more of the other bears and animals – here is the first album!
